SC16 Custom Versions

Some modification of the SC16 rack or its conditioners is possible to suit particular needs. Please contact Pi Logic to discuss your requirements.

Rack Customisation

The main limiting factor is panel space for controls or connectors and power requirements. If space is a limiting factor, the enclosure height can be increased or matching modules included.

• Adding output connectors to match particular external A/D or connection schemes
• Additional connectors and conditioning for external A/D cards, e.g. A/D trigger inputs, pulse, digital, counters, etc
• Additional power for external transducers (e.g. current limited 4/20mA loop supplied)

Conditioner Customisation

Existing Conditioners

These can be modified within the size, connector and power constraints of the card. In many, there is no scope for adding controls due to physical constraints of the card’s front panel. The card must continue to be removable to comply with SC16 standards.

New Card

If modification to an existing card is not possible, then a new card can be designed. This can usually be done in a few days at most. Pi logic often subsidises this design in cases where the card can be added to its range of standard conditioners.

External Module

If the input signal, its connector, circuitry or power requirements can’t be met within the constraints of an SC16 card, then an external module can be considered.

For example, this may occur in conditioners for measuring kV voltages in order to comply with creepage distance standards where the external module may simply contain an appropriate connector and attenuator with output lead to the SC16.

Leads

Input and output leads can be produced to your specification.

Software

Custom versions of the software within the SC16 or on the PC can be produced; for example, to aid automated tests.
